You could say graphic design is in my blood. My parents started a screen printing company right in our kitchen when I was in preschool. I grew up watching my father hand draw artwork for custom t-shirts, always impressed by how he could take someone’s (sometimes vague) idea and bring it to life. Later, I learned how to use Photoshop and Illustrator right along with him. By the time I got to high school I was designing and making vinyl signage for clients of the family business and spending my free time making graphics for my own hobby websites, creating t-shirt designs for friends, and of course, designing LiveJournal icons. It was only natural that I continued this path once I hit college, so I chose to concentrate my fine arts studies in the graphic arts.
